What are we worth? 25th February, 2008 – Discovery Point, Dundee

Tuesday, January 22, 2008

Please find attached details of a forthcoming workshop which is being jointly hosted by IRISS, Scottish Voices, SSSC, the Social Services Learning Networks and SCLD. The day will commence with coffee and registration at 10.30am and will close at 3pm.

The aim of the workshop is to raise awareness of, stimulate debate and devise positive strategies about how service users and carers might fairly be rewarded and recognised for the valuable contribution they make to developments within the social services sector.

As it is hoped that there will be similar numbers of professionals and service users / carers at this event, places are limited and the organisers reserve the right to limit the number of bookings from each organisation if necessary.

It is anticipated that funding to cover travel expenses will be available for service users and carers who wish to attend this event but cannot claim these expenses from another organisation.

Please feel free to circulate this information amongst your own organisation or networks and we hope you can send a representative to this event.

Yours sincerely

Linda Walker
Institute Lead (Student and Practitioner Development)
