It is with much disappointment that IRISS announces the resignation of a valued member of the senior management team, Jayne Dunn. Jayne is moving to a new role as Head of Leadership and Organisational Development with the Scottish Ambulance Service in early November 2008. Although this has been a very difficult decision for Jayne to make, Jayne's new post will include developing leadership throughout the Ambulance Service to strengthen their organisational development capacity.
Jayne joined IRISS in late 2006 as Institute Lead Officer Workplace Development with specific responsibility for developing the Continuous Learning Framework in partnership with Scottish Social Services Council. The framework aims to continuously improve the quality of outcomes for people who use social services by supporting the people who are delivering them to be the best they can be. The framework has been warmly received and applauded by key stakeholders in the social services sector and will make a major impact on improving practice across the workforce.
Commenting on Jayne's contribution to the work of IRISS, Professor Bryan Williams, Chief Executive said " It is through Jayne's excellent leadership qualities and organisational development expertise that this instrumental piece of work has been so successful. In addition Jayne has made a significant impact in contributing to the development of IRISS and its predecessor organisation SIESWE. Jayne's vision, warmth and enthusiasm will be sorely missed by her colleagues and other partner agencies and we wish her well in her future career with the Scottish Ambulance Service"
