LEAP: learning, evaluation and planning framework

Wednesday, August 15, 2007

We are delighted to announce that the Scottish Community Development Centre has been working in partnership with the Institute to develop a multimedia learning resource on their LEAP framework.

The LEAP framework is a toolkit designed to support a partnership approach to achieving change and improvement in the quality of community life. It has been used by policy makers, practitioners, and community activists in the fields of health education; adult learning; volunteering; and environmental planning. The framework will be of interest to anyone interested in using a partnership approach to improving outcomes for communities, service users and carers.

The learning resource includes explanations of the LEAP approach, interactive activities, and twenty-one video clips of practitioners, activists and academics discussing their experience of LEAP (high quality versions of the video clips are available on request to support@learnx.sieswe.org ).

The learning resource is available to all on the open Internet. A downloadable version will soon be available inside the Learning Exchange.
