The Learning Exchange

The Learning Exchange is our digital library of learning resources for social services and social work education and training, The resources include information sheets, official publications, interactive learning resources, video clips, case studies and radio broadcasts, all of which may be used for non-commercial, educational purposes.

Virtually all these resources are freely available using "Open Search" www.iriss.ac.uk/openlx

When you use Open Search you agree to the Terms and Conditions of Use.

Due to licensing restrictions, access to a very small number of items requires an Athens password.

More Sources:  our partner organisation - The Social Care Institute for Excellence - maintains reSearchWeb, a free database of reports, journal articles and websites originating in Scotland.

Scope and Quality.  Working with practitioners, IRISS carefully selects material that is relevant, up-to-date and usable for both learning and teaching.  Scope and quality criteria are outlined in the Collection Development Policy.

Copyright Compliance.  IRISS respects copyright and operates a 'notice and takedown policy'. Should you find any material in the Learning Exchange which you believe infringes copyright we will act expediently to remove any allegedly infringing material until we have completed the necessary investigations.
