This is the official accessibility statement for Scottish Institute for Excellence in Social Work Education.
This site features 'access keys'. These are shortcuts which allow you to jump to certain parts of a web site quickly. They can help if you have difficulties using a mouse or prefer to use keyboard shortcuts.
Our pages are intended to satisfy Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Conformance Level "Double-A": following Priority 1 and 2 checkpoints of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0.
Our pages should validate as XHTML 1.0 Strict.
The site uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for layout and visual formatting. If your browser does not support CSS then all pages are still readable.
This site uses 'portable document format' (.pdf) files. In order to view these documents you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader software. This software is included on many systems but if it is not on yours you can go to the Adobe site and download it for free.
For playing MP3 audio and video files on this site we use Adobe Flash. For those without Flash, audio files are available for download and playback on your local machine.
