Colin MacKenzie, BA, CQSW
Director of Housing & Social Work, Aberdeenshire Council.

A graduate of Strathclyde and Glasgow Universities, Colin held specialist posts in criminal justice and child care before taking up management posts in Angus, Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire. In 2002 he was appointed Director of Housing & Social Work with Aberdeenshire Council. From October 2006 to March 2007 Colin also carried out the role of Acting Director of Education & Recreation within Aberdeenshire.

Colin was President of ADSW in 2005/06. He has served on numerous National Groups including the 21st Century Social Work Review, Youth Justice Improvement Group, Joint Futures Implementation Group and the Justice Department's Strategic Policy and Finance Group. Colin is currently a member of the following Scottish Government Working Groups: Outcomes Project Board, Custodial Sentences Planning Group, Changing Lives - Performance Improvement Group and We Can & Must Do Better Implementation Board.
