Professor Andrew Kendrick
Head of Glasgow School of Social Work.
Andrew Kendrick gained his PhD from the London School of Economics in 1984. He moved to the Social Work Department at the University of Dundee in 1987 and carried out a wide range of research related to children and social care issues.
Andrew wrote literature reviews for the Skinner Review of Residential Child Care and the Kent Children's Safeguards Review.
Andrew became Professor of Residential Child Care at the University of Strathclyde in 2001, co-ordinating the research programme of the Scottish Institute for Residential Child Care.
In 2006, Andrew became Head of Department of the Glasgow School of Social Work, a joint school of the Universities of Strathclyde and Glasgow.
